Machine Learning Specialist (m/w/d)

Your day-to-day work

Become part of cidaas and cnips, the leading cloud services in Europe. Develop modern components for user authentication, fraud detection and other AI-supported processes in our product teams

Your area of responsibility

• Design and develop machine learning models to solve complex problems in the area of user authentication, fraud detection or AI assisted processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers and product managers, to integrate ML models into scalable, production-ready systems
• Perform data exploration and feature engineering to improve model accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from problem definition to model deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize existing machine learning models to improve performance and efficiency.
• Document machine learning processes, models and algorithms for internal knowledge sharing and regulatory compliance.

Your profile that convinces us

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science, statistics or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in developing and implementing machine learning models and solutions.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, JavaScript or similar languages, with experience in ML libraries and frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, principles and best practices.
• Experience with data processing (specifically Ray) and feature engineering techniques.
• Ability to collaborate in a team and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex challenges in a focused manner.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with cloud computing services and container technologies (Docker, K8s) and deploying ML models in cloud environments.
• Experience in specific ML domains such as NLP, computer vision or reinforcement learning is a plus.
• Contributions to open source projects or publications in relevant areas.
• You are fluent in written and spoken German and English and not afraid of daily meetings in English.
• You keep up to date with industry trends and advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence to ensure best practices for model development and deployment.
